Holistic Counselling incorporates a variety of therapeutic practices to bring about positive change with outcomes to improve health and wellbeing:
- Client Centred Therapy is a non-directive form of counselling based on principles of congruence, unconditional positive regard and empathy.
- Jungian Psychology is a form of analytical talk therapy that aims to integrate the unconscious and conscious awareness toward wholeness. Self Realisation, Collective Unconscious, The Shadow Realm, Dream Wisdom, Archetypes, Your Mask, The Anima/Animus.
- Archetypal Psychology is a practice that promotes awareness of 'model or prototype inherited evolutionary behavioural patterns' that influence the relationships and interactions with ourselves and others. The archetype is considered to evolve within the Universal Collective Consciousness. Understanding the archetypal nature of the mind can bring self awareness and improve emotional intelligence.
- Inner Child Recovery Hidden beneath the armoury created within your adult persona, your Inner Child holds the key to the burdens of trauma, substance dependence, eating disorders, mental and emotional conflict and/or loss of control. - Dream therapy is a transformative practice to awaken our deepest dream imagery, to identify emotional connectedness and actuate conscious healing.
WHAT TO EXPECT during a consultation
Change may be experienced at one level to effect transformation on another. Personal transitions can take the form of emotional, cognitive, behavioural and/or spiritual modification.
Change management is designed to ensure that reframing and/or reconstruct is implemented in a supported environment that safeguards concrete and successful transitions to result in adoption of change.
During the consultation, your counselling practitioner will guide your through your medical and mental health history which may include social and dietary components to identify contributing factors.
In consultation, you will receive all relevant information regarding your consultation including treatment plans, social education, alternative courses of action, fees and costs and if applicable, dietary modification, benefits, risks and side effects of prescriptions, and consequences of non-compliance upon health and wellbeing.
